Tree Surgery (arboriculture)

At Taw and Torridge tree services we offer all aspects of tree surgery, from planting of new trees, to the full removal of large trees and everything in between.
Our team of experienced and highly skilled arborists work to exceptional standards, making Taw and Torridge Tree service one of North Devons finest.

Difficult/Technical Works
Our team are experts in the safe removal of trees, or parts of trees, in confined spaces, this is achieved by using various rigging gear to lower sections of the tree whilst staying in full control. This minimises the risk of damage being caused whilst tree surgery is undertaken.

Roadside Trees
By utilising our in-house traffic management team we undertake safe tree work on the roadside. Having a good understanding between the traffic management and tree work teams is vital in this kind of work, and because it's all done by us, it is very cost effective.

Client Base
As well as many residential customers, we have built up an impressive client base over the last few years, these include A&B contractors, Tarka Housing, English Heritage, North Devon Biosphere, Ostlers Cider Farm, Local highways authority, Jewsons, South west Garden design, Wain Homes.

Qualifications and Insurance
All staff working on the tree gang have a full range of essential qualifications including relevant NPTC certificates, Lantra awards, First aid qualifications & CSCS tickets.
As well as the basic qualifications we have staff who have already gained, or are working towards higher level awards such AS National Award in Arboriculture.

We carry public liability insurance to £5million, as recommended by the arboricultural association.
All work is carried out to a minimum standard of BS3998: Recommendations for tree work.
